Default Samco Sport hoses - almost here!

I've been working with Samco Sport since December on getting us some hoses for the HRs. Slowly but surely we're getting there. Here is the first set in the whole freakin world - only two pieces so far. Okay, it's the second set cause the first set was made in red.

Is there any performance advantage with these hoses?

I thought I'd pick them up just for looks, but a quick search for other makes shows that they're pretty pricey. Roughly $300 for kit, or $120ish for just a radiator hose.

I'd like to know too, I'm thinking no cos I cant really imagine it, I think it's just for the agressive look when you pop the hood to show your friends what's under there.

Once I got turbo then maybe, as of right now no. Why? Well there is nothing to really show so why pop your hood :]

Generally you want stronger hoses when you start running your car at the limit for extended periods of time. The fluids get hot and you don't want your hoses cracking/leaking/blowing off the couplers etc.

It's not all for looks, but most people won't be using the hoses to their meant capacity, albeit there are those with massive HP TT/ST/SC kits out there.

Hey guys, I just sent the pics to Samco. I know they are looking at the "viewable" parts of the engine bay to see what they can do. I asked for MOAR!! I'm pretty sure they're gonna do those thin hoses from the top of the radiator too.

Toples, I'll ask about the other colors. As playboy said, they are used for racing applications, but yeah, we mainly buy em for the looks. Sensi, I made the mistake of buying a four piece kit (which started this whole thing), but it was less than $200 for the kit. I think the pricing for the 07+ pieces should be similar.

I'd get red hoses for sure, but if I'm in it just for looks, I think I should get a CF engine cover to begin with.

What would be nice are silicone intake pipes.

I'll check on the ETA. And yeah I'm gonna get a carbon fiber engine cover AND I want to change out the connectors on my throttle bodies from that black to blue.
