Sadly Anthony posted HOT AIR INTAKES. They are not cold air intakes since the filter is in the engine bay still. The best one out of all of them are the Stock intakes and Stillen ones since they have boxes to protect them from the heat.

And you being on here for 1, yes 1 year does not really get you out of noob status either.......

Yup, you got me figured out competely. Look at me getting all apoplectic.

fial.

OP, as far as I know, Injen is the only company making a CAI in the sense you're thinking (filters outside the engine bay). The only other one that's close are the Stillen intakes.

Injen installed a pre production one on mine yesterday for Stillen Day today. I tried it out on the way home and I think we have a winner here folks.

here's a pic of the Injen CAI, see where it's positioned? You decide if this is a true CAI or not. This thing sounds amazing and I truly feel the gains on this thing. My car didn't pull as hard before they were in. I will try to validate this feeling with some numbers soon. I plan to take my car to Technosquare for the re-flash and see what they say. I'm just letting Tadashi practice some more on other HRs and once he's mastered the tune, then i'll take it in. Also, the design on the piping on this is so that the air that goes through, although less restrictive, is regulated so that it's still closer to OEM airflow which avoids MAF sensor from detecting too much air flowing in too soon.

and btw, there was no CEL warning after install and to date.
