Mileage doesn't matter i've heard. Even if the car has 5 miles on it it will be hard to remove those bolts. Fast Intentions are highely experienced with the HR and charge 150. I only let them and precision z touch my car.
lol yeah getting my bolts from the top were the ones that broke on me,they broke lose with no problem, then all of a sudden they got tight as hell and i had to use a jack handle as a breakbar and they snapped off.

Nissan really got us good with their cat's bolts. They won't budge, but they'll break. I'm sending my Stillen HFC's back in exchange for the Injen CAI's.
So I took my Z in today to get the Stillen exhaust and HFC's put on and they had the same problem with the bolts, they got one side off but worked on the drivers side for over an hour, heating and trying to break it loose with an air chisel. They ran out of time and said they will get it done tomorrow.
I Got my car back today and it sounds pretty good, got a little rasp from the cats, but not to ricey. The bolt on the drivers side broke off and they had to drill it out to install the new one. So $316 later it is done. I am going to Dyno it in a few weeks and will let everyone know how much whp I gained.
they drilled out out of where? the header or the cat itself? That raspy sound you're talking about will go away once the exhaust settles in again. whenever you unbolt the exhaust the gaskets need to heat up and then the sound gets cleaner after about 3-4 driving days.

I think they drilled it out of the cat in case I wanted to install it back on the car later. I didn't get a chance to talk to the tech he was on lunch when I picked it up. It seems like I can smell the exhaust now when inside the car with the windows down, but maybe it was the other cars around me, I wiil have to drive it more and see.
okay... Maybe I'll go back to that mechanic and let him know I'm okay with breaking the bolts to remove the cat. I just was just afraid they'd get stuck inside the headers.

Spray some anti-rust or lubricant and let it sit for 15 minutes and spray again. Let it sit for a while. Then, it will come off easier. That was I did. The bolt on the other side (on top, facing engine) is the hardest to access. It will be easier to access this bolt from the engine bay, like from the top, instead of working from underneath the car. I am not a mechanic, but I did everything myself, from exhaust to HFC to Short throw shifter to CAI. It will save you guys A LOT MONEY (installation). In the process, you learn a lot about your car.
