and isnt z's running a skyline engine just by a diff name.
(im sorry im just really confused)

vq35de is the motor in the 03-06. vq35hr is in the 07&08. They are very different motors. Neither is the same as the skyline motor

The HR and the Skyline share the same basic architecture, but there are many significant differences. The GTR's motor has stuff like plasma-deposited cylinder liners and is assembled by hand in a clean room by a single person.

keep in mind :

G35 ( usdm ) = Skyline ( jdm )

the G35 and Z are on the FM platform which use the VQ motor

the Z is on its 3rd revision of the vq motor VQ35DE, VQ35DE(revup), VQ35HR
all G35's use the VQ35DE, the G37 uses the VQ37HR

not to be confused with the "premium midship" platform of the 2009 GT-R ( vr38dett )

Close. 2007 and 2008 G35 is also using the VQ35HR. The revup came in all manual G35 in 2005, 2006, and 2007(in the Coupe). And if I am not mistaken only the Track, 25th Anniversary and GT manual models got the revup in 2005 while the other manual models got it in 2006.

 

kingbaby has noticed lately our Z chics haven't put out....last 2 or 3 threads have been nothing but blue *****...
