you'll fine a lot of thread about that with a nice search...
but just a hint.... be easy on that diff for a while... find a private area/parking lot/ whatever... do 10 minutes of circle.. (EASY!!! NOT DONUTS.. CIRCLES) on one side and 10 in the other....
let everything cool a night..... do it again... change the oil...
drive the diff EASY for another couple of thousand miles... change the oil...
congratulation!!!! you're done.

I went to an open lot and did figuar 8's this will shift the weight transfer from the left clutch pack to the right clutch pack. Do this for at least 10-15 minutes. Yes it will be loud clunking noise and this is just the clutches. Circles will not do the trick. You then change the fluid and you are done. It is not like a tranny clutch that requires a long break in period. Also remember the nismo comes 100% lock. I took mine apart and made it 80% for better feel at slow speeds. abababaabb center aabbababab the pic is the left clutch pack with it set at ababababab or 100%

im kinda curious as to why you took it apart. the nismo has a 19mm bolt inside i beleive its the passanger side where the axle stub goes, you just take out the 6 axle bolts, pop the axle stub out and there it is. i have not had a nismo in a while to remember. but you just turn it and it will adjust it from 60-80-100%.

not that i read in the instructions someone sent me when i had mine. you only have to take it apart to adjust 1.5 way to 2 way. you have to adjust the plates in the cusco which i have now, but not the nismo.

I did 20 minutes of figure 8s and babied it for 500 miles, then changed the fluid to the Motul. The lock is set at 60% from the factory...

Guys the preload it the adjustment you are reffering to not the % of lock. Look at the picture and you can see the % of lock from Nismo is 100% your preload is 60% and you can adjust the preload through the flange with it removed and set it at 100% preload but that does not mean when your preload is at 100% that you diff is 100%.
