Well when i bought the car, i told myself i would only buy a daytona blue one, the one daytona blue one near me was an 07 brand new but they had already installed the Nismo exhaust on it so thats how i got it, my plans orginally were to go with the HKS but plans have changed now and im looking for a new one.

another quick question i was looking at some other threads and it seems like there is some kind of modification to fit the HKS on an 07 <----- is this true??
Nismo Exhuast + Berk HFC. Here it is with HR Motors

Here it is on DE engine, but with Test pipes

The nismo exhaust is in my opinion an awesome sounding exhaust. Although it's quite tame as a cat back...throwing HFC/TP on your nismo will wake up your exhaust CONSIDERABLY. It's almost night and day. My nismo exhaust is much much louder...but still sounds awesome only because it retains the VQ sound. As you can see, the nismo exhaust no longer sounds the "same" as stock...as other members have stated. Bottom line is this, if you add HFC to your nismo (assuming you like the nismo exhaust sound) you'll love it even more afterwards.
On the other hand, the HKS exhaust is very well built, nets awesome numbers, and has sexy titanium tips. Although I do like the exhaust without testpipes or HFC, I must say, adding TP or HFC to the HKS will ruin the sound...as this clip below clearly shows.

Here is the HKS without TP or HFC...which sounds better in my opinion

Again this is just my opinion, and in no way am I bashing the HKS. Simply put, I think if you're looking for something that looks subtle and doesn't attract too much unwanted attention, but can sound like audible sex when you want it to wake up, the nismo + TP/HFC is the way to go.
Hope this helps!

Depends on your state laws. You should definately check it out before purchasing your exhaust.
In california, I believe it's illegal to have ANY modified exhaust....which is one of the reasons why I opted for the nismo. It's low key, and could be argued as stock to a cop that doesn't really know anything. All one would have to say is that it's a factory option, and it came with the car.
On the other hand, a HKS exhaust doesnt look anywhere near stock/OEM. Not to mention the tips on those badboys are pretty big, and the canisters are shiny as hell too. On the same note, as long as you aren't driving like an ***, you should be fine. Most cops won't pull you over just for an exhaust, unless it's really obnoxious and loud. From my experience, cops will give you tickets for the small stuff (exhaust, tint, front license plate) tickets when they get you for something bigger (speeding, illegal turns, etc).
The good thing about nismo is this. Even when paired up with HFC or testpipes, you can drive it with virtually no exhaust noise. Keeping the car under 3000rpm with moderate acceleration, even with HFC, will not be loud enough to garner a ticket. However, when you punch the gas, the nismo exhaust really wakes up...and sounds like a beast. Hope this helps bro.

I want to say this statement is partially true. My impression of the law is that anything from the cats back is okay so long as the decibel level is within California's set standards. I think I read somewhere that the HKS is within that decibel level.
27151. (a) No person shall modify the exhaust system of a motor
vehicle in a manner which will amplify or increase the noise emitted
by the motor of the vehicle so that the vehicle is not in compliance
with the provisions of Section 27150 or exceeds the noise limits
established for the type of vehicle in Article 2.5 (commencing with
Section 27200). No person shall operate a motor vehicle with an
exhaust system so modified.
Usually cops won't dick you for modified exhausts, but they have the right to decide if your exhaust is too loud or not.

Actually, any modified exhaust can be ticketed in cali..

I don't understand what your point is

I never said you couldn't be ticketed, I said it is not illegal to install an aftermarket cat-back so long as it is within California's predetermined decibel level. You clearly prove my point with your penal code reference.
If the cat-back is within the allowed decibel level you wont get pulled over for exhaust, trust me its not loud.
