headers on the HR aren't really worth it since it already has equal length headers, you'd be better off getting some high flow cats and exhaust.

I don't recall Stillen making long tube headers for the HR or any year model for that matter.

You are an idiot, and have no idea what you are talking about. Please refrain from posting again.

Not you again...please GTFO. You're so close-minded and stubborn it isn't even funny.

You are the same guy that was arguing about how intakes gain power on the HR motors (before the injen was introduced), when there had already been previous research done by individual members and COBB that showed negligible gains.

Here you are yappin your mouth again, when you're the one spreading misinformation. How ironic

If I remember correctly, the HR motors came with pretty much equal length headers, so many assumed that an aftermarket set would most likely do nothing.

No proof has yet surfaced, but this I can probably guarantee you. Headers for the HR engine will net some gains, but it won't be worth your time and money. You'd be better off getting a good true dual exhaust with some good test pipes.

The power gained to money spent ratio would make for a bad investment.

I believe Arsh has headers on his HR...and he should be able to tell you whether or not his headers were with the money spent.

KA24...please leave, and never come back. Go back to your RSX forum. I don't have a problem with guys that don't own a Z on this forum, but I do have an issue with guys that are close-minded and try arguing about a car they clearly do not own.

So to get off the arguing for a moment...

When going with a bolton setup, currently it would be a better investment going with a set of HFC's then a set of headers?

Simple answer is yes.

The ratio of money spent to power gained for the HFC/TP should be greater than that of the headers.

If you got money, just do everything...like arsh haha

The vast majority of what I've seen indicated HFC's gave the best bang for the buck outside of the flow tubes which eliminate the cats altogether. I think Allen331 put it pretty well, although I did the headers as well, looking to get everything that was available, and the numbers I've seen did indicate some gains with the headers. On the intake tubes, I stuck to the K&N drop ins, and skipped the intake tubes. The information out there seems highly contradictory on the intake tubes for the HR.

I just hate people.

edit: save for my kids.

Of course there is a performance increase. Stillen make performance products. As with most 6 cyl engines there is about a 4-7% increase in power. That is a big gain.

How far up did you have to reach in order to pull those percentages out?

^^ seriously, wat a stupid general statement. Different motors from the same type of car yeild different results. But EVERY v6 on the planet would respond the same to headers, please stop posting...

Edit, was for brady, not z06

Hey 0jiggy0, not sure if "most" means "EVERY" and "4-7%" means "same" to you, but to the REST of the world it does not.

So please, read what you're attempting to reply to or you're the one posting "stupid" statements.

My most means much or many.

I'm not going to waste my time on fullfilling your information/proof requirements, nor am I getting into the various manufactures who have produced and currently are manufaturing v6 engines. But if you're under the impression that headers do not offer 4-7% improvement in HP on most v6 engines, I'm cool with that.

Have fun and dude, lifes way to short...
