Maybe it was like a ricer math dyno? You just type in what mods you have and it spits out a number. If thats the case you can easily get some more ponies by throwing a GT-R badge or two on there.
Side note; have you tracked the car yet? I wonder how that translates to actual acceleration? What tires are you running?

On the VQ35HR you've got to dyno in 5th gear, not 3rd or 4th. 5th gear is the 1:1 ratio on the 6 speed tranny for 2007 and 2008 350's, (it might be on earlier tranny's also, but I'm not sure). Any other gear will give you a false reading.

And why is that? He has one of the best shops on the west coast.

People goto Church Automotive because they use Dynapack dynos, which measure horsepower at the hub. This gives a higher reading that other types of chassis dynos because the rotating mass of the wheels/tires is eliminated.

I meant shops btw, I guess I was thinking shows for some reason. Yea, I knew he had that kind of dyno, just what you said sounded like it was something else.

I'm not a pro at interpreting dyno sheets yet, but my '07 put down 297 at the flywheel at around 6500RPMs. With the Techno reflash. Mods include grounding kit, air ducts, stillen intakes, stillen headers, Fast Intention TPs (resonated), JIC ypipe, Apexi N1 exhaust, and JWT clutch/flywheel. Baseline was 267 HP. Sound reasonable?

^^^That's really wrong. If you got this dyno at Tadashi's dyno it's to the wheels, especdially considering your mods.

stfu, the numbers this guy posted are unrealistic without being tuned. Besides that dyno dynamics is known for outrageously low numbers. therefore, if he were to use a dyno jet with the same dyno guy, he would probably put 400whp. SO something is wrong. It is probably the calibration of the dyno.

get everything straight bro. you probably put down 296 Wheel hp.
and how did the air ducts contribute to the 296whp??????????

good summary of the whole thread. Now you need to consider throwing couple of engine mods.

I'm going to the track this wednesday, I will post the times asap. I wasn't able to go to the HPC dynojet dynoday cause of the girlfriend. As soon as I get on a correctly calibrated dynojet, I will re-post the numbers. Until then, this thread is dead!
