help with my vqhr exhaust set up
Drone is hard to deal with, simply because it has to do with the pipe resonances and the cabin resonance. Exhaust drone always exists, the trick is simply to move it higher in the RPM band, so you don't run into it during daily driving.
Ideally you would want to shorten or lengthen the piping a certain length to cancel the resonance at the given rpm range. Theres an exact equation for this that I can't find at the moment. However a more practical approach would be to silence the system as a whole. Why not try adding in 2 fairly large resonators, like the EVO TT, in between the merge and the mufflers?
Disclaimer: I'm not saying that this is THE solution, I'm just throwing an idea out there since it's cheaper than buying a new set of cats.
