How satifisfied are you with it? I know some folks have had custom tuning with it, though most outside of Cali just shipped in their ECU. I had mine done also and I'm not too sure if it was worth the money. I get a popping/backfire noise when I let off the gas as if I'm running really rich. Anyone else experience this?

yeah, i backfire here and there too, but it think it was worth it. Technosquare flashed mine slightly leaner. I dont know why they did it like that

did u change anything after u installed the ecu, i.e. modifications?

call Tadashi and ask him about your problems.. what gas (company) are you using?

Is that what that burp/backfire/fart sound means? That I'm running rich?

No changes in mods, though I have been using several gas tenders (Chevron, Raceway, military post gas station). Each tank provided the same popping once I let off the gas. I had a dyno done a few weeks back and the tuner said I'm running a bit rich.

Better rich than lean. Maybe do a dyno run with air fuel meter and see what you are really running. Rich 12:1 is better than lean 16:1.

another ?:
did u supply technosquare with any dyno, AFR readings prior to changing of the program?
if so where wasthe wideband o2 bung? tail pipe? or pre-cat?

my best suggestion is contact Techno again, tell them waht's up. they will try to fix it. perhaps, they thought you would be running extra lean due to your test pipes and compensated for that.

I did contact TS. Tadashi informed me that the popping from the exhaust is normal/ unharmful. He also stated that the HR engine responds better being a bit richer.

Default TS Flash

For-tune-ately I live close enough to bring my Z into TS. After the first 2 pulls on the dyno, Tadashi said I was running Rich. 3 pulls later (5 total), I'm tuned and at 13:1. No popping no pinging. I told Tadashi that I was using Cost-co gas and he said as long as I didn't hear pinging. Level of satisfaction after custom tuned "9" (out of 10). Absolutely worth it.
