greetings from iraq. ive tried a couple times to order a nismo lsd for my base z. i guess since i have a base model i need new half shafts(and other junk) and nismo is the only company that offers a full kit. appareantly everybody i try to order from doesnt have it in stock and one vendor said nismo doesnt carry them anymore..
does anyone know how i can go about getting a lsd for my lady? do i try and piece together oem parts from nissan and purchase the diff separate? please help

 

Did you talk to the guys and Mynismo.com? I also see full lsd kits on ebay from time to time.

Your best bet is to get a Quaife, which is a drop in for a manual transmission base model and does not need the half shafts. We have them in stock

The NISMO LSD kit was discontinued by NISMO USA. Can be ordered from Japan though. Or, there is the Pro Model version, which comes with the half shafts. We might have one of these available, though it is a bit more $. PM us for details

Or, if not, we offer packages with Cusco, Carbonetics, or OS Giken diffs with all the parts required for a base model install - we have a post in the vendor classifieds for the Cusco one, for example

 

+1 on this. Ran into the exact same problem. Couldn't find a Nismo kit in-stock, ended up picking up the Quaife for the ease of install and lifetime warranty.
