This is the Titek cf shroud. I have to press my hood hard for it to close, but it fits. The hood cannot be drop closed at all anymore. It needs to be cut, but Ill get around to doing it one day... I also caused two very small dimples on it by closing it the first time.

ARC says theirs fits too - we tried it yesterday, it doesn't. Since dremeling titanium isn't possible, I've decided it's time to take matters into my own hands.

So, we'll end up making one I think, and pending the outcome, we'll put it into production. I don't yet know if it will be carbon, aluminum, or both - we'll see. Once the mechanical stuff is done on my car, we'll get to work on making the template and working from there. I'm not interested in anything that has to be dremeled, or trimmed, or slotted, or something that makes my hood not close correctly. If such a stupid part is worth the cost and time to install, it should fit without any drama IMHO.

I'll post here when I have something to report. Please don't pm, or call, or post here asking where it's at, I've got other things I've got to work on with my car first . But, I need this part (I can't stand how the big open area looks) so this will be done as soon as time allows!

I am not a big fan of DIY when it comes to body parts ... it just doesn't look right, sometimes.

ARC must have updated the design some time recently since the one we tried on Adam's car didn't fit. Glad to hear that it worked on your car though.

Point of mention that picture on the ARC website is of a DE radiator shroud if you look closely.

yeah, just make sure the part # from ARC is TFPZ33. It is the newer design, and according to ARC tech it will work on all years 350z.

I was looking at these today, if you think about it, the air going in through the front bumper would be forced to travel through the radiator by sealing off the gap above it, in front of it. Thats good, but what happens to the air that your radiator fans blow outwards when stopped in traffic or idling? it cannot vent out the front of the radiator and into the large air void (like up that gap disperse out under the hood in the engine bay)

its not a massive problem but i just wonder if people think about the whole picture when it comes to changing parts that were designed a certain way from stock.

What direction do you believe the fan moves air?
