You'd have to rotate your flywheel on the crank to make the DME happy I'd think.
Nah i know this already. But even with taking a dremel to the tranny and mounting it in a different location in the same position as it is up top should be possible also. It something ill have to look at one day.

It mounts inside the engine block, the flywheel timing ring sets inside the engine block a hair, there is a "bell-housing" extension of sorts on the engine block.

And my car was stock for that pass, its posted on here, I can find a link to the photobucket if you want, the car isn't stock now, and quickly moving further LOL.

wow gotcha. lol guess that blows that idea. well someone will soon make a kit that will utilize all these items and just sell the kit and not have to spend 4k on a aftermarket clutch and flywheel.

I'm just going to stay with stock for now. Enough cars have it that if it becomes a serious issue a better solution will appear. Example, stickier clutch material with a lighter pressure plate may work better.

Yup, pretty much (from the looks of it).

I think there are a number of solutions now that we have found this potential problem.

damn i really don't wanna pull my tranny to check things out without upgrading. but since as you say the crank sensor cannot be moved. what about dremeling the spot out on the 009 tranny where it mounts to the block??

i do think this would be an option.

let alone the cost to make the 009 tranny work would probably be much cheaper than the other option. im gonna see if i can find a 03 trash tranny cheap so i can investigate.

Honestly, run DOT 6 brake fluid, keep a spare slave cylinder if you're running a ridiculous pressure plate, and try to find a clutch (like a metallic or kevlar) that uses a softer pressure plate.

Both of my friends cars that are turboed (BMW's however) have spec clutches with weaker than OE pressure plates...and way more holding capacity.

Default the best advice so far...

Is to change the fluids all the time. but I just can't belive with all the technology out there, no one has done a simple redesign of this part, and I can't beleive Nissan, or nismo has not released a better one. Its just a little metal tube with seals and a plunger from what I can see. I have has mine replaced twice and then I had the dealer replace the whole system twice because of debris in the fluid. Can we reuest a vendor to contact a manufacture. I think the video that shows the conversion is from GTM, maybe its not simple, if they can't even figure something out. I wonder if using a bigger master would help take some of the burden of the slave. I'm just gonna get this thing

I think it would be cheaper to add an SMG module.
