IMO 370 looks like crap compared to any previous Z. I think the TT kit is the way to go unless there is a single kit that will be produced. Def have to pay to play.

+1 -- the red one w/ the SSR wheels that SSR posted a few days ago... uhhh pure sex. Give it another year and I think MANY people will change their minds about the aesthetics of the z34. We will start to see an infusion of them with high end wheels and aero. I think Nissan's timing on releasing the car came at an unfortunate time in our economy and we're not yet seeing the full effect of the aftermarket consumerism. Time will tell...

lol because i don't want a 370. why don't the ls2 guys get a vette. if its just a drop in motor with no modifications needed other than ecu then it should be an easy swap. so why not.

Swapping the motor would likely effect more than just the engine and ECU. With body harness integration into so many things, etc, it might be a swap with a lot of small headaches.

I still don't see why you would bother, it makes like 20 hp more, seriously, test pipes and a tune would do the same or more, and be way easier.

Have you driven a Vette? Apparently not giving it a review like that, especially not one with the select track or Z51 options.

This statement has me seriously concerned about your common sense.

yes i have. i guess the buick thing is a bit much, but the suspension just feels sloppy to me. honestly it was one of the biggest disappointments i've ever had in a car...

it was a base vette though, not a z51 or select track (didn't even hear about this one).

The question is, has Jeremy Tibbs driven a Corvette the rides like a Buick?

My dad has a 2005 with select track (very similar to whats in the ZR1 in technology, I presume the ZR1 just gets a stiffer algorithm, its electromagnetic shocks). Car handles excellent, oversteer is slightly less predictable than the Z, but I wouldn't get anywhere near calling out the handling. The only weak point about it is its terrible turning radius because it doesn't have enough inner fender to get a good lock angle on the front wheels.

i don't know, to me it felt sloppy. the grip was fine, but the transitions sucked. to took a while to respond to direction change, and it was just numb. even though its lighter than the z (and my sister's sti) it felt heavier. perhaps the track one is better, but the one i drove was a huge let down

Corvette weighs within 50 lbs of my Z, and its on the heavier side. Same scale same day, 3160 for my Z, 3200 for the Vette.

Steering is just different, the Z has one of the best steering feelings of any car available, especially given the price range.

Sounds good, just give me a call whenever you are ready.

I have driven many Vettes, i also have driven a few Buicks... None of which felt like any of the Vettes.
