Default AAM 2.5inch HFC

Do you guys have any experience w/ These? Are these better than the Berks and other brands that are smaller? I ask because it seems that these would line up better w/ the HR 2.5inch stock exhaust.

The HR exhaust is 2.25" right after the cats, and then it converges into a 2.5" single with dual tips.

And from what I've read, almost every manufacturer uses metallic substrates made by magnaflow. So I guess the question you should ask is which manufacturer provides the best welds.

No it has a lot to do with diameter.

What I was saying is that when you ask which is better Berk or AAM, you should be aware that both use metallic substrates made by maganflow (at least from what I've read). So its pointless to assess their quality on the metallic substrate, since they both use the same exact core.

I say ours!

Our cats ARE NOT made by magnaflow. We have them custom made - they are low 200 cell count cats. Very free flowing - we've made over 550awhp on GT-Rs with the 3" version.

We also make them here - in the USA - out of heavy duty 16 gauge T304 Stainless steel. And we only tig weld our exhaust products.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

-Clint

I'd like to see dyno runs with the AAM HFC's for the HR

In my experience - No issues with CEL with the HFCs. We done A TON successfully with no issues.

I'll always recommend these over test pipes for that reason. Plus HFCs produce more mid-range torque.

Our Test Pipes have the 02 "fix" just as others claim, but in my experience having no cats will eventually lead to CEL overtime.
