What is the circle area partially up the block in this pic. There is a drain plug in it and it looks like oil dripping around it.

Oh jesus, I just changed my oil this week too.

Have you noticed anything abnormal out of the temps when running the car hard? Ie, high coolant temp or excessive oil temps?

Ok, so on to the things that I've bee personally contemplating.

http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/wol...STRUCTIONS.pdf

Will the oil pan spacers for the DE work on the HR? The pan looks the same, and I'd really like to run 6 quarts instead of 5 (just because of the oil pressure range the engine runs at, and the rev band I drive in)

HR gets hot as hell ! i just did a quick mountain run, and i saw oil temp of 125c - 257f

an oil cooler is a must ! a spacer might help, but it will not cool that oil. so.....

When I had the cobb I watched them at the drag strip and correlated to oil pressure. I saw 122C, and that was with pretty low oil pressure. Since I'm running amsoil I'm not super worried until it gets above say 140C, but an oil cooler wouldn't be a bad idea. I just want a spacer so that high RPM runs don't ever risk starvation. If I'm cornering, I like the idea of another inch of oil depth around the pickup so I can safely run to redline.

If the DE spacers fit I'll probably put one in within the next couple months (I hate to trash 5 quarts of amsoil before I put at least a couple thousand miles on it).
