wow, im super **** compared to all of you. lol.
i run mobile 1 5w30. changed every 2500 up to 10k miles, and now its every 2k miles while im at 14k. was considering doing every 1500. lol.

its only $50-60 total, not much of an expense. cut back on a few drinks or cigaretts and youll have the money for it.

Send your oil in once and get the TBN. I can almost guarantee you have more than enough additive left at even 5k.

for those using GC, do u have any problems, because i thought nissan required ester oil in it

There are different levels of synth' oil quality out there. Mobil 1 has one which is guaranteed for 15k. To stay on the safe side, reduce that to 8k---which is what I put in my cars, on average, per annum. So, you have many options, dude. I also do an oil change a year (obviously going by mileage, not time). BTW, a U.S. engineer did a thorough test on oil filters, and the hands down winner was PUREONE by Purolator. REMEMBER: I am NOT the engineer that did the research, dudes!

i change my oil every 3k or less always using royal purple and i always put in a new mobil one oil filter. (only they best for my girl)

Except Royal Purple has been shown to be inferior choice to M1 or GC... might want to reconsider your decision there and read the VQ Oil analysis thread.
