I didn't come up with that price, GTM did
All I know is that this doesn't include exhaust and clutch. Just turbo kit, install and tune as far as what GTM told me...

For the "gotta pay to play theroy..." well yeah... but like everyone else out there who I dare to say are thinking the same as I do, we'd like to pay less lol. I am simply seeking a more price efficient way to get boosted.

Pay $12k if you want lol, but I rather not if JWT can come up with a better number. Isn't that why we are here to talk about JWT TT in the first place?

i'm sure that 12k installed price can shrink to about 10k installed at a shop with decent labor rates. gtm charges an arm and a leg for labor (125/hr iirc).

and everyone is just dreaming about jwt being much cheaper, jwt didn't in anyway suggest that their kit is gonna undercut the competition by a huge margin, its all just pipe dreams from people that can't afford to go fi in the first place (i'm one of those people btw, i'm just realistic about what i can and can't afford)

and another thing everybody should know, that picture has been on jwt's site for more than a year now, if you look way back in this forum (the hr forum), you'll find someone else posting a link to it also way long ago...

I remember someone else bringing this up earlier, but whats wrong with hoping they come out with a cheaper kit? I mean for the kits for the DE, I don't remember anyone saying go buy a clutch with this kit. Most of the kits were around the GTM Turn Key kit price or lower and on top of that, the manufacturer said that there kits could be put on a stock motor without any adverse affects down the line. So when you start saying 12k for a kit is a good price and I still have to pay for incidentals (like a new clutch or starting the "Oh **** my transmission is busted" fund) is still a little to high for my taste. I do plan on going FI in the future, but if I can save money anywhere I really would like that a lot more. Yes I know a lot of people with turbocharged cars and they say boost is addictive. Yes I know **** happens and I might end up replacing something down the line anyway. All I want is a single or twin turbo kit with reliable turbos that won't dig in my pocket anymore than probably 2k more than I already paid, somewhere in the 10K range. If I have to pay 12K for a turbo kit and install, the damn kit better include exhaust, turbo timers, a clutch, and the gauges to come with it or a combination of 2 or more of these things.

^you can get a gtm kit installed for 10k, just not at gtm...

you'll be taking the jwt kits to install somewhere else (jwt doesn't do installs iirc), so whats the difference in taking the gtm kits somewhere else? if you have 10k ready for a tt kit, you can do it now, don't have to wait for the jwt kit

What I was trying to say is that I want to see how much the jwt kit is going to set me back and compare the two. I know GTM kits are pretty much the best deal we got going right now compared to the Greddy kit (9k for a tuner) and the HKS one (7k for a tuner with less than the Greddy). AAM's kit is only put on by AAM and they are too far from me to consider it a viable option. So I'm just waiting for a price point and to see which one is going to be my best option based of off my driving habits and how much my wallet can take. I mean people might be able to jump right on getting a kit, but I don't have 10k to throw around if someone can give me a kit for lower and it has the same potential. It would just set me up to get my nuts chopped off by my wife if she starts looking into it which I know she will, lol.

I think you can get the GTM kit wit the supporting mods installed for 10k-11k if you installed it in a different shop or even by your self.

From who? Every greddy tuner kit I've seen for the HR is 8k or higher. Must be looking at the wrong sites.

ok this makes sence, just that the other posts (not sure if they were yours, didn't pay attention who was posting) made it sound like the other kits weren't priced reasonably...

Wasn't me. I do think that some of the kits for the HR, people are getting cheated when kits for the previous engine were priced a little lower when they first came out. I mean when Greddy first came out with the HR tuner kit, they were giving out exhaust and oil to sweeten the deal. That alone tells me that they know there kits are high and that they are trying to recope some losses from some other venture. Just my opinion though.

JWT 07-08 350Z HR Twin Turbo Systems are now available as complete or tuner kits, as are all earlier G and Z JWT TT kits.

if it's 7900 installed including a tune I think thats definitely closer to reasonable status and I woudl consider it. However, most kits still stand close to 10K or more for install and tune.

I really like the design. Keeps the strut bar, front bumper support, and has the heat shields. Hopefully there are more pictures to show where the turbos are placed.

I don't care to much for having the intakes in the engine bay so close to the headers and block. Even with heat shields the intake temps would have to be more then slightly higher then the gtm kit. The Greddy kit puts them in the same place as well.

If this product is really out, JWT is doing a pretty shitty job of marketing it, haha.
