Default JWT TT for the HR (Coming soon)

http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/news.asp

For those who have been asking how the VQ HR JWT Twin Turbo Systems are progressing, here is a look at the prototype system on a test car. The production kits are scheduled for release in early summer ‘09, starting with the ‘07-‘08 Z. A 370Z version is anticipated for late summer based on demand.
Hopefully the price will be the same as this (doubt it) --> https://my350z.com/forum/engine/3356...r-awesome.html

I kinda doubt it too. Every other turbo kit manufacturer that makes turbo kits for the HR is trying to scalp HR owners so I don't expect JWT to take the morale high road.

6K would be a nice deal on that kit, considering almost half of the price is just the two turbos. Doubt it will happen that cheaply though.

this is the kit i would eventually buy if the price isn't crazy. If it's as much as the other TT kits for the HR then I'm staying NA. simple as that.

Just curious, but has anyone called them and asked them about their kit?

i really don't get why all of you are whining about for a "reasonable" price. the turn key gtm kit is "reasonably" priced, especially for what you're getting. 2 garret ball bearing turbo's, fuel system upgrade, intercooler, all fasteners, clamps, vacuum hoses, not to mention it even comes with a tune.

the tt kits for our cars take r&d, not like honda's which any clown can throw together, thats one reason why its not cheap. the second is that quality parts are used, not some ebay "xs power" turbo that will fall apart in 3 days... 7-8k is perfectly reasonable for a tt kit (what the gtm kit is priced at)

just out of curiosity, what would be this "reasonable" price all of you are talking about?

Why not ask for a reasonable price? I don't know about you but I like to save money whenever possible. That includes trying to get the best bang for my buck. If this kit was priced at what the GTM turn-key kit is, then I'd be fine with that. Anything over 10k for everything you need, install, and a tune is over priced IMO.

^keep dreaming, that will never happen. maybe used, or a bare bones tuner kit on which you'll have to spend another 2-3k on parts to complete it...

the gtm kit is reasonably priced. just that people above are saying "if its reasonably priced, not like other kits on the market, i'll buy it"

i agree on your price point, it just seams that most people on here want the whole 9 yard for the price of 3 yards...

I dont know about you guys but I just called GTM couple days back and talked to Sam and he said the out the door price for HR TT will be $12,000....

Now my perspective for a "reasonable" price would be close to $8K out the door... Thats just my .02 cents

What does this include?

FYI, the Greddy Tuner Kit can be picked up for less than the GTM Tuner kit for anyone that cares.

Please tell us in your grand wisdom how you came to that price? What turbos and components are you using and how much labor to pull the motor and install the kit?

i'm assuming that includes a clutch that costs 2k (os giken twin), and install for everything, thats reasonable in my book. 8k is a pipe dream, for any tt kit. if you go fi, you need to do it right. that means spending some money up front, cause if you don't, you'll end up spending more in the long run...

btw, gtm's labor prices are pretty high compared to other shops, so you can get the kit from them, and have it installed locally for less, or better yet, install it yourself and save more coin.

if you think that 12k is to expensive, you shouldn't be going fi anyway. going fi isn't cheap, there will be other things that come up that you will have to spend money on. like they say, you gotta pay to play.
