Lets say 650$ to your door.

Jet coating (probably a good idea) 200 plus dollars, probably a very good idea since anyone using them has noticed a rather large increase in engine bay heating.

650+200+450 = 1300$

factor in my canadian factor, i'd be looking @ pricing in that range, seeing as i'd have to pay more for shipping, duties and installation since labor here is more expensive than in the USA.

Pardon that pricing, that was in refence to doing it right (with jet coating). Using heat resistant wrapping would be my second choice, but would be less expensive than jet coating.
You can wrap your headers with DEI wrap for around $50, and it isn't difficult.

And stop talking about "equal length" as if it were the only determining factor in an exhaust manifold designed. You have pipe diameter, collector size, collector placement, tapered/expanded runners, etc, which all have a fairly large impact on performance.

Normally, shorty headers are a waste of time, but Stillen's consistent gains throughout the powerband show it to be a reason consideration for those who want more power.

Of course, I'm hoping your post above isn't just you blowing hot air. I expect you to back up all you say with personal experience and/or dyno graphs.
This is painful..........but I agree with you. Being equal length isn't even in the top 5 parameters for a proper header.

I believe T K was pointing to the results of their race car, which does use nismo cams. They also got 28-29whp from them installed (no tune) on their roadster (stock cams).

I think if you have all three you should be looking a total of 15-20 whp easily.. minus the injen cai intakes. I did 279 whp @ Sound performance with only cat-back/intakes. (no tune)

279 whp + 7 whp (tp est) + 14 whp (header est) = If I break 300 WHP im good for awhile... :-)

300 whp + tune + pulley = 310-315 whp??

Remember some of us HR's are the last of the breed mine which mean's we have freak's lol.. Got mine Dec 08.. LOL i broke in the motor in perfectly baby every step of the way... im at 15k now running strong.. dyno's were done during 4-5k miles only.
I have a AT so my numbers will be lower than yours. But to answer your question, I have the Bassani exhaust, Injen intakes, Stillen HFCs, and Stillen Headers. My car has around 3k miles now. The dyno runs were done in 3rd I believe. I got 250whp with the bassani and then 264 with the hfcs/headers/intakes, but the car wasn't taken until redline. These are dynojet numbers. i'll post up the dynos later on.

I already paid for installation and headers wanted to get it out of the way.. I have ordered all many parts thru One Six Motorsports and online sites. Mark at One Six has already done several header installs on the Z/G35. I got a great deal since im one of his best customers lol.... $740 installed! Ceramic Coated 409 Stainless Steel..

Pics of the headers, no. They look like the stock headers just more shine.

Video, yes.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mS-t2J1EXPQ

It's extremely loud due to the titanium exhaust with no reso. I also have the Stillen HFC's. Jumped from 284 ---> 300 (close enough). So bank on more power.

There is more mid and top end power. Before headers and cats I was trapping 107-108. Now I'm looking forward to 110's. The car is very different then when it had no Stillen headers. Installation of the headers/cats was $400.

I've had them for about 1 month. Only had a couple of chances to run it wide open through the gears up to 4th. Not M6 fast but pretty darn quick.

If you have any more questions I'll do my best to answer.

My mistake, the SG header gains were from the roadster and not the race car. 29whp going from stock manifold and cats, to the long tubes. Still though, that's fairly within range for a pair of shorty headers and test pipes for that motor.

I'm the one making the point about equal lengths being a garbage marketing scheme. The only benefit of the Stillen headers to the OEM HR headers, is probably a small amount of length difference, more efficient collector, and larger cross sectional area of the pipes.

Dynos of 5whp across the board, pretty much provides all the proof. Correct all the little downsides of the OEM header, and 5whp is pretty much what to expect, without entering into tuned length.

For what the Stillen headers cost, I'd rather buy a pair of Megan long tubes and hack them up to fit.

Id love to do that myself. But i think we'd have fitment options on the HR. Or maybe I could modify the flange, hmmmmm. Now you got me thinking.

^ sorry no dyno's yet

Car feels much smoother and pulls much stronger to redline, mid-range feels more responsive, although not as loud as I suspected, it sounds perfect and ready for the track quicker rev up's! no more droning sound and no rasp at all! woot!

Has the car been tuned since the install? I suspect that its not running as lean as a Dual exhaust system. Have you noticed an increase in exhaust temps?

If the car hasn't been Dyno tuned yet, you will be very impressed once it has!!!
