FYI.. today we have 1-day only special pricing on the Gen 3's.. if you're on the fence, you won't find a better deal on these..

sorry but does anyone have or had this problem when putting them in, theres a metal piece that just sticks out preventing the filter from being placed on to the intake and the bolts are basically flat so no taking them out?

Seems very possible. 370 guys are proving ~20whp gains with just the intakes. It also says they consistently got 16whp gain, not just one. I think its possible...unless Stillen "paid" them to do the test. Who knows. I'm about to get a set and do some before/after tests. Unfortunately (relatively speaking), I already have a full exhaust and tune so the numbers won't be gains over a completely stock car but I think they'll prove something.

Does anyone know if the Stillen V3 intakes off a G37 coupe will fit on my 07 350z? On stillens website they have a slightly different part number....the reason I ask is that I have the opportunity to pick up a used pair tomorrow off a local guy for a really good deal

Thanks in advance!

No, definitely not.. different bottom tubes, different filters.. Not compatible. G37 coupe to sedan will work, but not to a 350Z.

Sorry..

Here's some pics of my revised install. I wrapped the pipes in 3M Scotchprint 1080 carbon-look vinyl (hopefully it doesn't want to melt ).
I replaced the included K&N filters with aFe Pro Dry filters and added Outerwears water-resistant pre-filters (since I live in Seattle, I figured this was a no brainer).

I had also purchased some 45* bends to make the filters visible, but there just wasn't enough space to add them in.
Here are the filter and Outerwear part numbers in case anyone elsse wants to change to an oil-less setup:

afe 21-30001
Outerwears 20-1074: Available in black, blue, red, yellow, orange, purple, and lime green.

Interesting/cool idea with the CF. I hope it works well for you and doesn't melt!

So there has been no melting even after a couple hundred miles. I don't want to speak too soon, but the Scotchprint seems to work well in this application.

Nice touch with the 3M and dry filters! I'm not very fond of the oiled filters, ever since it clogged my MAF with another car I had. I'd probably go the same route as you with the dry filters. Keep us posted on how the 3M hold up.

I notice a difference with these installed.

Also, there's a few different dyno's in this thread that confirm that the Gen 3's show gains.

Slow down, turbo. sorry I didn't reply to your first post within 4 minutes at 3:00 in the morning (my time).

As I noted, there are dyno charts in this thread. Just take the time to read through it. I have not dyno'd mine and wouldn't help if I did, as I never did a baseline.

I can FEEL a difference but do not have my own numbers to substantiate my claim.

Sn8keEyez,

Absolutely understand your concerns, and I don't have any definitive information, except to say stay tuned, and no where near that timeframe, we'll have some info on that subject.

We've seen 20whp on several vehicles, but for an independent car and day, here's a major magazine (posted earlier in the thread) and their 350Z being tested:
