Just installed the G3 intakes today. This is the first time, so I took my time to do a clean installation.

It took me about 5 hrs for the whole process (jacked the Z onto 4 stands, removed front wheels, strut bar, engine cover, and front bumper.

I didn't have to cut the horn wires or enlarge the stock intake holes (by radiator support).
Will take some pics tomorrow. And get another dyno this coming Saturday.

Kuhan did you ever find out about the bolts for the HFC? (Glad to see you didn't sell them )

I went F/I'ed, I don't need them anymore. I loved them when I had them on though.

Here's the link to my F/S thread. Shoot me a PM if interested.

Man, you did way too much work. I installed mine without even jacking up the car. Just pulling the bumper would have been enough.

I had the same experience with the horn and intake holes. No modifications needed.

^ I did take a long time

I had to jack the car up on stand because I needed to add manual transmission fluid and changed the engine oil.

Plus I removed the front bumper support as well. I also wire tied anything that was loose and vacuumed the radiator. I'm a neat freak

And currently I'm working on installing LEDs on the front reflectors.

lol it took me and a friend 6-7 hours and all we did was take off the front bumper first time we had done anything like that though. All we did for the horn was relocate it farther down i believe.

I'm not sure. I had Berk HFCs installed as well. So I have get a dyno to see the gains.

There's a guy in Intakes section selling his G3 intakes for $300 + shipping.

There was a write up in Modified Mag this month on the Gen3 intakes and it stated that after multiple dyno runs, the Stillen Gen3 intake consistently showed gains of 16hp and 7lb/tq. I'm not sure what the exact numbers were but it was something like that. I'm impressed and once I save enough, this will prob be my next mod.

Was this a just stock HR with no bolt-ons? If so, this was a happy dyno.

My 08 Z with just a Nismo exhaust made 255 whp and 222 ft-lbs of torque on Mustang Dynometer.

Now I have Berk HFCs and Stillen G3 intakes. And I will be happy if it can put down 270+ whp and 230+ ft-lbs. Hopefully, I can find out this Saturday.

Yeah, that's the one thing that popped out at me. When my '08 was completely stock I was dyno'd at around 245hp and 232/tq, but I had not cleaned out my K&N air filters and I was running VERY rich. It stunk up the whole shop. After I got home I cleaned them and it looked like a mud slide, so I have no idea what my numbers would have been if cleaned beforehand.

Please post your dyno results once you get them. Very interested.
