Default Osiris tune or HFC's

I have a NA '07 and I'm looking into doing one of two things to the car. As the title says; either an Osiris tune or HFC's. I know that the majority of people, would quickly say HFC's, and that way, you would only have to tune the car once, but Im in school, and thus on a limited budget. My next mod, won't be for a while. If a tune would give me more enjoyment, I would rather pay the additional tuning cost in 8 months, and do Osiris now.

So ignoring the fact that over the long-term, HFC's make sense to do first, what would be the better mod for power gains and overall enjoyment over the next 6 months-year.

Currently, I have an Injen CAI and and HKS exhaust. I don't really want to do test pipes because I might be headed to Cali.

The Osiris tune I received didn't do much for me, yes I'm running the car at a "safer" afr while gaining 5whp through out the powerband but I much more enjoyed and am still enjoying the hfc I had installed on my Z. Torque gain is noticable at the wheels and the added growl to the exhaust puts a smile on my face as I drive the Z.

Don't install HFC's then because they are not CARB legal.

def. do the high flows first, would be a very stupid move to tune just those few mods..u seriously should get ur mods done first then worry about the tune at a later time, u will get the same power out of both pretty much and the high flows will make ur car sound better and give u more power once u do tune

Thanks a lot. For the HFC's I have been looking into the Fast Intentions or Ultimate Racing HFC's.

TUNE THAT HOE!
I got rid of my testpipes and got osiris. I have MD plenum spacer, HKS (fake) and JWT pop charger. I got 30 more HP from tune.
It changed the entire way the car felt.
Totally fricken worth it.
HFCs get loud cuz the HKS is already loud.
my damn TPs rasped so much, i went back to stock cats.

-love my car now after tune!
I loved it before too, but now theres more love

I appreciate all the help here. There's really good points for both sides. Wish I had the cash for both.

Do the tune! Car will feel smooth as silk. You should see about 6-10hp more on the top end of the HR(dyno tune). I tuned out an 08 Nismo over the weekend. And on Monday I came to work with a very nice email waiting for me. The email was just to tell me how much better the car pulled and felt on accel.

I just ordered the Fast intentions Resonated Cat Pipes. Tuning is next on the list. It was a tough decision, but that's half the fun...all the research. I think this way I will feel like my car is more complete when I get it tuned.

I have a raised eyebrow though because I went against John's (from z1) advice. Those guys know there stuff. Adam from Z1 talked me through my 4.08 gear upgrade. Thanks for the insight John and everyone else.
