Well this past wed. i went to the drag strip and they had a weigh scale. So i role my car on top of it with me and my friend in the car. I look at the display and i was shocked! 4060lb! So me and him got out of the car and it went down to 3700's ish area. I had 3/4 tank of gas, 2 10"jl w6 subs with custom box. 1 6 channel jl amp and 1 jl 500/1 amp. I was wondering how when they said 3300ish area for the z did they weigh it with gas or not?
yes i did do a search but it was hard thinking of what to type? so i just typed weight and it gave me a pull down of what it thought i was looking for. well the couple i clicked on were post from 2002 area so that didnt really help

Curb Weight: 3339 lbs. Gross Weight: 3919 lbs. hmm not fully answering my question. did they do the weight with gas or not and also i was thinking the scale would be off because last time i was there the car weighted in at 3380/with out me in it and 1/4 tank of gas.
Then do the math. Without you and 1/4th tank of gas is pretty close to 3339lbs... so add in approximately 1/4th tank of gas, add in your subs... mods not really much for weight reduction... and you're at 3380lbs.
They weigh them with essentially no gas in the tank, hence curb weight.

Gross is considered to be an 'average' weight... aka including a passenger and potentially some 'luggage'.
Assume a full tank of gas is 120lbs. Assume your passenger is 180lbs. assume you have 'cargo'... easy 325lbs, and there you have gross weight.

lol i asked for the flaming on the curb weight lol well see mine with a around 1/4 tank ,no one in it,was last time was around 3380?? so how does that add up to close to 400 pounds more??only changes i have done was y-pipe and intakes :/. also mine is a enthusiast. I guess what im trying to ask is was the scale either off or how did i jump 400lbs?
How did your trap speed compare this time to last time when it was "400 pounds lighter"? Stereo equipment can get rather heavy. Those scales are typically calibrated, so that shouldn't be a problem. Did you change wheels? Rotors/brakes? Any body work?

the audio was in the car last time. I took at the spare out about 2 weeks ago. and during spring break time i got a y-pipe and injen intakes. Theses are the only 2 pieces that have been put on the car and the spare taken out. I was just averaging about 101 and getting a rather consistent time of 14 flat and fastest was a 13.9 @ 98mph. Fyi tracked was horribly prepped that night.
