Default New Motor

Hi,
I killed engine yesterday. I wanted to accelerate very fast but in one second I heard some noise from engine and car stopped and a lot of oil spilled out. I had bad camshaft (it was not straight).
I have 2006 model with AT. will VQ35HR fit my car? Because 2006 models have VQ35DE.
thanks

Sorry to hear that, but you might want to try using the search feature first, before asking a question. Since you are an Uber-Noob with 1 post, prepare to have your flame suit on. Let the games begin...lol.

Sorry if somebody has already asked/answered this question: I had been reading this forum for couple hours and can not find the answer.
Can anybody answer my question or give me a link to the answer?
Thanks,

It can be done but it is a hard, expensive way to get a few extra horses.

I do not need extra horses. I love my Z. it's daytona blue with nice wheels. But I think that I need another motor.

Who knows where I can buy a good engine under 50k miles in OR, WA, or CA?

look for Corvette LS1 or LS2 engine. Very easy swap and major HP gain!! Many have done it!

If that were the case, there wouldn't be any oil left to 'spill out'..
