ya bro passing smog is the least of my worries.
Over heating, popping a pipe, FIRE!, is more of my worries with FI a NA car on track LOL

 

Other concerns were obvious. As long as ya get someone who won't do a visual..you're prolly ok on smog. SC is the way to go if ya wanna be conseravative. Look into the the new Stillen SC as well (same as the 370 Kit)..they use new Vortec and it's got the CARB sticker to boot...at least that's what they say.

 

What's going on with this stage 2 super charger press release? It's been over 4 months.

 

I wouldn't hold your breath. GTM hasn't been active in this thread in sometime. The kit is up on GTM's site though.

 

Ordered my kit yesterday!! Will be doing the install myself, I'll keep everyone updated on the progress.

 

Yeah I had ordered my sc kit (stage2) in dec. but they said it wouldn't be ready tll later this month or early feb. but now I'm having a change of heart and wanna get the TT kit hopefully I'm making the right decision

 

I' didn't see the supercharger stage2 on the site how did you order it?? And how much was it $$$

I had been talking to Mike @GTM and said about $1000 more than stg1. I'd call if i were you and talk with Sam. Email has been very slow due to Mike being out for the past few days. I'm sure if they are having a hard time responding to emails it will be a while before you get answers here

 

Did you get the new and improved style one similar to the 370Z stage2 supercharger or did you get the old one? and what's the hp (I'm not saying the old one is bad)

 

Im thinking the new one cuz I have an 08 hr.. He said they were seeing hp from 450-500whp depending on what fuel. They used 91oct and 93oct. I decided that I want to go with the TT stage2 kit rather than the stg2 sc kit for future purposes so I'm waiting on Sam to see what I will have to do to change the oreder

 

good choice, make sure you ask for the gt2871's and not the 2860's

 

I think there supposed to be around 520rwhp (I think) I have an 08 HR too and I think the SC kit stage2 is not out. I'm leaning towards SC because I don't want to loose my headers,highflow cats,and catback exhaust.but 700hp tt stage2 sounds nice I'll look into how much it'll cost with the 3in exhaust system plus the sound of the blow off values is sexy

Just thought i would breath some life into this thread. I ordered a stage 1 kit about a month ago and am patiently waiting its arrival. Ill post updates when it shows up!

In the same boat, ordered my stage 1 kit early February. Been trying to be patient but man is it hard...

Apparently they are waiting on Rotrex units to arrive then kits will start being pumped out.

 

Any reason why you guys didn't order the stage2?

 

I went with stage 1 becuse my power goals are for around 400whp. My main foucs for the car is not for all out power but rather a balance of handling, braking and performance. Also stage 1 is easily able to make more power (pulley,tune,race gas)



Ya thats what i've been told a couple times already. I hate waiting, especially when I have read the install manual front to back 5 times!!
