really? maybe the added deck height helped... the DE stroker kit was a nightmare!!! I still wouldn't use BC because of brand loyalty, was any other clearancing needed?

hmmm, that is good! I'm glad BC updated their kit... a little pricey but nissan stroker kit can only get up to 3.8 with GTR crank and then need some slight modification to make work... I'm working on 3.7 stroker kit that will be pretty cheap compared to other kits as long as your not doing over 8k RPMs!!!

pump with water/meth

itl be over 700 hopefully tomorrow. was having an issue with my 8lb wastegate springs and my boost controller. wasnt keeping the gates shut underload and was only seeing 18 psi of boost. swapped the springs out to 20 psi and they held fine, we ran it to 28 psi but a poor piping fitment on the lower pipe from the passenger turbo to the IC (GTM gives u like a 5" coupler for that one) expanded like a balloon and the t clap put a gash in it. modifying the piping so it will take a popper sized coupler tomorrow and putting it back on the dyno and seeing what itl do with the extra boost

still have squirters on my DE as well. You only lost squirters with their 88mm stroker kit which was discontinued years ago.

ok so there is (or was) more than 1 kit available... I had a bad experience (oil squirter plug backed out and boom!) and I won't go down that road again!!! plus if the factory puts in oil squirters then there must be a reason that the pistons need that extra cooling

Yeah I always thought this was a great thread. I still plan on building my HR N/A one day but thats going to be on the back burner as I'm working on a cage and full race prep first. Goal is going to be light weight so no 70 pound turbo or supercharger kit for me. I'm planing on rods, hi comp pistons, cams and valve springs, longtube headers, injectors, and tuned on 110 race fuel.

I wish there was more info out there on NA built HR's. I really don't want to be the first. Stroker might be nice too but I think i can reach my goal of about 350 horsepower without one.

id like to hope you could, SG made like 370 na with a DE. on stock displacement.

get a 4.2 high comp stroker some c10 jwt cams and get an itb setup and im sure you could break the 400 mark with 110

thats why i said stroker itb's big cams and 110 would yield 400 on an HR, would be more than 400 im sure in the same weather.

That was the plan but I just didn't have the heart to sell her. I've got it mostly stripped out and it'll be going in for the cage in a week or two. I'll have pics and such when there's progress. After my chassis and suspension is rebuilt I'll get to work on the engine.

Subscribed.

I am also interested in a mild street N/A build. Johnwigs posts are some of my favorites. I'd like to put together an all-Nissan VQ37HR. Im not a mechanic whatsoever, but I'm game to get JTran Studios to throw in a Crank, Rod, Piston, Cam Combo. I'd be stoked to get a 350 WHP Daily driver with an 8K redline.
