Have you ever considered using Oil-less turbos for the midmount setup?

I was debating swapping over to an oil-less on my maxima, i had a rear mounted kit that i built for it. Oil lines down the full extent of the car was always something i hated about the rear mounted setups lol..

No, and I would never use it on a DD. From what I have read, those were built for the drag strip use in mind. I know they use high temp grease, but that will fly right off once you get up to 1500def F, and the centrigual force of 100,000rpm comes in to play. At least that is how I see it.

With the way I would build the HR kit, there would only be about 30" of line to feed the turbo. It would be right at the end of the passenger side header.

the piping might be off a little bit, but it should be close. use the same tranny and the deck heights on the heads and everything are very close

Would you use a vertical intercooler with single entry at the bottom and twin exits in upper part ?, one on each side, clean design, short piping. A 370z single turbo setup had nightmare with mafs until they switched to this setup, bt you might know welle the story on *******.

ya and...

that shop will not sell that kit to anyone wanting to do a home install. Not to mention a very very lazy boost curve.

first off Its because every kit is custom welded. And if they did weld you a kit and send it to you and something didn't fit people would be all over the forums talking trash. True story......Second say what you will about about the boost curve that **** hauls ***. 525whp on a stock block with no engine upgrades. Just the turbo kit. Any one else doing that?? NOPE

yes i did that with my gtm kit. i made 530 whp and 491 tq and it was full spool by 3800 rpm :P

the fabrication on that kit is good quality, and im sure it hauls ***, but for the turbo size and the motor the curve is a little lax compared to similar singles

This is why you build jigs, and if it doesn't fit, then the fabricator does not know what he/she is doing. How do you think other kits are built? It is easy to build a kit on the car, build it on a jig and make if fit on any car...that is the hard part.

As for power...well, let's just say that there are a few places that claim big numbers but when a customer tries to duplicate the results (and fails), it turns in to a **** show. It is easy to send a replacement pipe out if the one sent with the kit did not fit. It is a bit harder to explain why a kit only made 500whp (maxed out), when the manufacturer claims it will do 600+. True story, seen it a few times on this forum.

AND

14psi at 3800rpm with a 6765 T4 .81 a/r on a 3.5 DE here. Sounds like you have a boost/exhaust leak.

Holy Sh*t.

That's a steal.
What the hell is wrong with the HR guys? If I was within 7 hours and had an HR I'd be all over this. This is a damn steal.

Not sure if the HR and the VHR are the same as far as configuration under the hood goes, but if they are here is the ST kit solution:
