GTM SC kits for HR
Also another update, I've recently contracted the high idle code virus on my TT HR as well.
Uprev tuned.
I don't believe it's hindering anything functionally, but can get annoying.
hmmmm.
what are your plans after the Nissan ECU comes in? Retune via Uprev or something different?

Also I'm burning soooo much fuel its ridiculous! Made 430whp last tune which was before lightweight Enkei's and true dual exhaust..
Plans after new ecu are test her as is stock injectors and stock air intakes and if the idle is where its supposed to be I will be recording the whole flashing process to uprev again and tune N/A first then hook up the SC and injectors so if there is an issue at anytime I will send off the vid to Uprev and GTM and make them figure it out.... This problem has been the bane of my existence for the last 2yrs almost and its really getting old...
Couple things.
In regards to the high idle code, this is not a tuning issue and can never be that for a simple reason: we don't change the idle tables in these tunes unless the customer asks us to raise the idle to help out with an aftermarket clutch and flywheel. Here is the reason why this code could come up. In a stock application, the ECU looks at a couple things for it to determine the idle target. Since it knows the MAF tube diameter and how much air is going through via the voltage the MAF produces, it determines how much it needs to open the throttle to achieve the idle target. Now, once you install the supercharger system which has a larger diameter MAF piping and a little higher MAF voltage due to the supercharger's increased flow, the ECU can no longer achieve its idle rpm target and it is forced to set a code. The solution is quite simple. If the vehicle experiences high idle issue with the 507 code, you need to perform an idle relearn. Every 350Z HR car we have installed on our shop and left, we have never got a call about high idle code or idle issues. I hope this helps anyone that is having issues with idle codes.
Now, I understand that sometimes getting the idle relearn to perform correctly can be challenging. If you can get the car to relearn the idle and once it says "completed" in the Consult III, you will never see this code again so long as you don't reset the battery.

I don't know if this helps you HR guys, but I have a Vortech supercharger setup for my DE and due to running big 2150cc injectors for E85 with uprev had to bump my idle up to 1000rpm...I was regularly getting the high idle code and getting idle hunt in hot weather and my tuner couldn't figure it out; it didn't really affect performance and was just an irritation so I just told him to turn off the high idle code with uprev...haven't had any idle hunt issues since...

^ I have the Vortech sc on my car (Stillen V3) and dealt with the high idle issues also; Stillen tried to tune it out with UpRev, I did several vacume leak checks, etc. and no go there; Sam at Stillen months ago just deleted/disabled that 507 high idle code. I idle usually 1000-1250 or so but now I'm just used to it and it doesn't really bother me, but still would like it lower like a consistant 900-1000 or so.
I guess I could try the idle re-learn, any of you on the thread have any updated suggestions on this; seems like a common issue with us SC/HR guys. I am however very impressed with the V3 kit and very glad to have 'er on my machine.

If anything I bet the blower sounds better at higher idle...none of the rocks in the can sound of the Vortech blower at lower idle...

My bigger issue was my car hated the high idle and it turned into a speratic idle that would go upto 2k and down to 1k and back up and down all in like seconds... And it was really really annoying!
I laughed a little at 1000. My idle is regularly at 1500 and sometimes 1600 or so. LMAO
You'll shoot yourself if you have to sit at a drivethru for extended periods of time.
I've got a little trick where I warm it up with AC off and then cut AC on and the idle drops to a bearable 1200.
It does sound like a racecar with the 1500 idle though. Because racecar.

Yeah...the sporadic idle is idle hunt; turning off the p507 with uprev seemed to fix that for my setup...
1500-1600 is kinda high, my car tends to idle around ~1250...and yes I hate how noisy a superchargers setup is at idle...I have to scream my order in at the drivethrough; because racecar...
GTM's B/O sounds like a damn vacuum lol I always got joked with... One day we had to drive thru a buddies yard to get to his garage and it was fall and ya my car blew leaves all over the place lol

Wow ok I'll try that if I ever have that issue again by turning that off however u do that lol
Ya I just shut the car off at the drive thru... Annoyed the **** outta me!
I think we should get stickers made! HIBR High Idle Bc Racecar! lol

Note I said remove the code, not erase it with a code reader...you can do that with uprev, but you'll need your tuner to do it...
Getting my new ecu put in at Nissan yay!! Went to Z1 this morn and Jon got the Uprev License off then after they put the new one in back to Z1 to get the tune back on it the get supercharged!
You may want them to make sure that they flash that first base tune "for a SC" to your ecu before they even start your engine the first time; if you don't already you/they can get base tunes for your model Z, SC'd with similar mods from UpRev, flash ecu, then you can make initial "logs" with Cipher for them to check out your early tune #'s and take it from there. Keep us posted how it works out performance wise with the new setup/tune.

Good news! I hope it works out well for you. Is Z1 going to be the tuner? Also is your UpRev liscense on your cable a "locked" one where only Z1 can tune it, like Stillen does?

But ya Jon has a stock tune for me and when that works good first the plan is to put the IC pipes back on and the injectors then flash the sc tune he had from before...
Its weird this has all happened anyway BC noone has touched the idle values and actually couldn't anyway... Its all so weird but thanks for the advice man I'll keep everyone posted on results...
I've always had the issue since day 1 of the sc setup... It must have been me flashing the GTM map on top of another map/license... Just left z1 everything is golden finally its idling at 750 and running strong as ever!!!
The correct path would be no GTM flash and then an Osiris tune over the stock tune?
You can't just reset the stock ECU? It will continue to high idle?
