500hp build
I know nissan is the best for preformance in its class so I plan on building a streetable 500whp VQ35HR. Here is what I plan on doing. Full exhaust, no cats, stage 2 cams, valve springs, port heads, preformance intake, cold air, larger throttle body maybe, new pistons to lower compression for boost, either a supercharger or turbos on 16lbs, clutch, flywheel, custom tune. Any suggestions to make it more reliable???? Is my goal of 500whp a reasonable goal????
Greddy TT kit, with 500whp things are most likely bound to break either way over time so just plan for the unplanned so to speak. I wouldn't bother with head work as that power should be relatively easy to reach with a TT kit.
No larger TB, no CAI/intake as they are not needed if you go TT. You'll need a return fuel system and bigger injectors to reach that boost, probably would be a bit over 500 at 16#. 10psi on stock CR car was over 500whp but was running out of fuel big time with stock returnless system and larger injectors.
UpRev is your only widely used tune option for the VQ35HR at present time, hopefully that will change in the future if the VQ35HR can ever get some love from the aftermarket.
Search the forum and look through other builds as you'll see there is already a lot of information out there.
