Default 2007 350z Transmission

I have a 07 Z. Took my trans out and it says CD8 #1 on the side. Can't find any information on this whether it verifies if it is a cd009 which it should be. Only thing I found was on ebay saying it was off of a 370z... Same trans?

CD8 casing number is definitely a CD009.... only transmission used on HR, VHR.

It is NOT the same as the original CD009 introduced in late '05 for DE. CD8 case is specific to HR, VHR applications. Gear ratios (all internals) are identical to earlier trans but uses same clutch as Z34 and bell housing pattern and clutch actuation are different.

Other ways to know for sure....

- If you have a CSC - concentric slave cylinder (internal), which you should with HR+ engine, it's a CD009 - the only trans offered with CSC

- Note the VIN code on the transmission case (and check on the VIN identifier tool on the tool bar, above) to determine what specific year it came from.
