Default 2007 350Z HR dual throttle bodies

I was wondering if the '07 hr TBs that I see on Amazon and several other sites (Hitachi ETB008 and 005 are fine to use for my car? These list for about $180 per and the sites all say these are for my car (dual tbs).

I knew that my oem tbs are Hitachi, but looking closer they say: Renault Nissan Hitachi molded in the top metal part of the tbs.

When I look on dealer sites they show oem '07 Z TBs cost approx. $687 per! Doesn't say details like Hitachi or anything. I'll call the local dealer and ask, but I know that some guys here have just gone to Amazon and got them with good results.

I'd hate to pay 3X the cost for the same part from a dealer if I don't have to. *Not in any rush, but I just wanted to check on this forum to see if I can get some feedback; the Hitachi ones listed specifically for the '07 350Z for about
$180 per would be great if they are fine to use on my HR. Thanks

* here is one of the TBs from Amazon.com (one is for left, the other for right side): https://www.amazon.com/Hitachi-ETB00...=throttle+body

I need an answer to this too. I've been having some idling issues on my 07 350z and might need new throttle bodies. I haven't been able to get my Z to accept the idle air relearn. From what i researched, the throttle bodies are the exact same just without the nissan branding. I dont wanna get screwed by a shop when they insist on getting the OEM ones.

I would say go with them. It a lot of money to be saved and they are from the OE manufacturer so probably have the best chance at working correctly next to the ones from nissan. Hitachi is the OE but thease may or may not be quite same quality as nissan you'll never know unless you try.

I talked to the parts guy at the local Nissan dealer yesterday and he quoted $687 per TB! I asked him what the manufacturer was and he said Hitachi. The pair of brand new for the HR (left + right side) online is approx. $350 on several sites.

Hitachi is the OEM. Nissan does not make them. Buy them.

Hey Merry Christmas guys and gals! I'm probably going to order the 2 Hitachi (ETB008 + 005) throttle bodies. I may wait for warmer weather to mess with it all.

My question is do the dual TBs need to be "sync'd" in any specific way? Would flashing my current UpRev tune on the ecu after install take care of that? I assume that I'd do the 3 step procedures (got the vid saved) for pedal, idle air relearn first thing after install of new tbs. Thanks for any advice/tips.

3 things that could happen.

1. Plug and play - It will just work and ECU will idle learn (I suggest performing idle relearn anyway)
2. IDLE surge (RPM bounce) - You would need to perform an idle relearn
3. Manual idle relearn fails - You would need a diagnostic tool to force the idle relearn.

They call them stealerships for a reason lol

They don't make much on auto sales. They make their profit on their parts and repairs.

Been dealing with idle surge, throttle lag and rpm bounce for 3 yrs already, started at 32k miles. Ive changed the ecm and both throttle bodies and same issue. Been to 4 different dealerships and they cannot figure it out. It's annoying and slowly getting tired of it. Finally thinking about moving on from my Z ..

To the OP what exactly are the issues your having? If it's what I describe, new throttle bodies may not solve ur issue..

I had to force learn mine since the manual process did not work. The shop used a Snap-On Modis diagnostic tool. The surged happened when I switched to the 70mm big bore TB's.

I've wasted my time and money dealer after dealer trying for a fix. In the next few months I'll probably just part out and trade the vehicle.
