Default Radiator blew!!!

ok guys... stock 2008 350z

78k Miles stock radiator top plastic tank blew at about 6500 rpm in 2nd gear.

First... I'm assuming because stock radiator/plastic radiator over time from engine bay heat etc just get brittle it's 10 years old... but no overheating any other possible underlying causes of the tank cracking? Full fluids no overheating just cracked...

Second... anyone know in the Orange County Fullerton area where I can pick up on site an aftermarket all aluminum aftermarket radiator? Seems I can only order one online...

any help would be great! Any high performance shops someone know of that might have it in stock? Otherwise I'm going with OEM plastic again... should last me another 10 years though

I'd go with another OEM-style. Many auto parts stores will offer a lifetime warranty. I have a high-end Wizard Cooling aluminum radiator in my old BMW 635, but it's a league above those cheap Chinese-made ones.

Mine did too and I just hit 76k. 6th gear doing 70mph. lol. Two loud pops and then I didnt realize it until like two days that it was my car! Always watch temps tho so it didn't do anything unusual. Am planning on just getting the Mishimoto or Koyo that's OEM-Style.
