Injectors
I'm replacing my knock sensor and trying to take out the fuel rail and injectors to get to it. Everything's unbolted and disconnected and I'm pulling on the rails and not getting anywhere, is there something I'm missing or do I need to use a lot of force?
Also since I'm in their would there being any benefit to getting larger injectors? I don't plan on ever going fi or really making over 350 whp.

Can you take the the intake manifold off the engine with the fuel rail still attached to it?
no point in going with larger injectors...

I got it all off thanks, I had to use a pry bar and a completely unreasonable amount of force, things almost went South quickly because the o ring and other little plastic piece on a few of the injectors popped off. Luckily those valves we're closed so I could fish them out no problem. Definitely used up all my luck with that one.

Man, thanks for this post. I have a DE, but my best guess is that both Knock Sensor changes look alike; and I will do mine in a 2 of weeks.
I've seen one Youtube video where the guy keeps the injector in place, and wobbles the intake out of there through the fuel rails. I thought about doing that, since it's probably a good measure to change the o-rings if we remove the injectors...
And now that you mention having to apply a good amount of force, you got me worried.

Yeah, with the amount of force I had to use to get the injectors and fuel rail off there's really no controlling how it goes you just kinda use a pry bar and try to pry in the right direction. Not sure what I would done had the o rings or plastic pieces actually fallen into the cylinders. I really don't see how to change the knock sensors without removing the fuel rails though. Good luck either way.

dont rely on luck ... stuff rags into or tape-off the intake manifold
