the main thing for me, i know most people wont care... is taht the internals are stronger... i always wanted to go FI but i never wanted to rebuild my engine and drop 20-30k just to have some turbos. since we are hearing the HR motors are good for aorund 500+ on the stock block reliably.... and if that holds the same for the new motor... ill drive it one year NA and will drop twins the next year.

ZZ, I think what they may be trying to say is that it has taken a while for American manufactors to take action and actually put out cars that do take into account the big picture. The vision may have been there, but we are finally starting to see it become a reality.
Am I making sense???? If not, sorry, JUST had my coffee....

I gotta agree GM took too long to release the car but to their credit they wanted it to be right. As far as looks, you might change your mind when you see it in person. It's pure menace and muscle.....photos just don't convey how bada$$ it is. It's a completely different look than the 370Z, but just as strong in its own way.

I hear ya.....I just get a little sick of so much unwarranted anti-American car BS. Over the years, the most reliable and fun cars I've owned have been American. But I agree......the new Camaro, as good as it may be, is definitely about three years too late hitting the street......even the C7 has been put off until 2014.

338 hp
270 tq
That's if there is no realy difference in the intake of the 3.7 compared to the G37's
The extra 8 hp over the G37 coupe will come from more free flowing exhaust.
However, if they open up the intake a bit more than I'd say:
342 hp
272 tq

Did no one comprehend to my post regarding the G37 Sedan with 7sp auto?

You're looking at a 3700 lb car with 328 HP that offers brisk acceleration. How much HP the 370Z will get doesn't matter because it will out accelerate the G37 Sedan and Coupe even if it has the same amount of power. There has to be 500 lbs weight difference.

So imagine the performance if the G37 came with 376 HP/308T... but handled like a 3200 pound car.
Seriously. Think about that...
Or, think about a 3200 pound (bolt-ons/tuned) modded Z making 360HP... completely possible. That would be like a 416 HP G37. Isn't that about what the new M3 makes?

It's honestly ALL about the weight drop. The new Z with 330hp should be close to 9lbs per HP which is damn good and nearly identical with the new M3 at 8.9lbs/HP. If you really crave more HP (which you should) drop 2K and get an intake, exhaust, and chip and you will definitely be over that 350HP rating....
The 370z in person should be quite a gem to glance upon. I am quite excited.
