Default Buying Volks in Canada

Does anyone have any tips/places to buy Volks up here (Edmonton/Calgary/Vancouver). I've been calling around and been getting pretty high quotes ($1400cdn/wheel). Is this about what everyone will quote up here for a 19inch 10.5 Volk? I've been getting decent quotes from some of the vendors on here, though the conversion and shipping takes a big chunk of the savings away. Any advice?

don't even think about buying in Canada, prices are insulting... I remember when I was looking for wheels back in the day, a set of $2000 Axis Shines and out of the 5 best priced local Vancouver shops the best deal I was offered was $4100 cdn.

just buy from US, our dollar is allright at the moment (1 to 1.22 last time I checked) thought you might have missed the boat a while back for a few months when our dollar was stronger than US.
But I suggest you insist on getting the vendor to hook you up with a good shipping deal, and thats something most vendors are very capable of and actually should be doing on a sale that's worth a few grand.

Which model of Volk are you looking for?
1400 each seems overpriced.
I do know some places with fairly decent price in Vancouver.

I can't really decide, the 1400 quote was for a set of 19 SF Winnings in gold, 9.5/10.5 here in Edmonton. I'm probably looking at Winnings or GTS, or even TE's or RE's. Not really picky if the price is right, just want some semi aggressive offsets like +18 to +22. A guy was selling his GTS on the forum here for 3100 last month, regretting not jumping on it now.

These are not Volks but I got all four 19x10.5 +22, 19x9.5+22 for $1900C shipped to Edmotnon. Brand new, just payed for them this morning.

I don't know how much they would cost here, but I can imagine it would be a whole lot more than than $1900 Canadian.

When I bought my GT-S 3 years ago I tried lots of places in Edmonton/Calgary with the same results you had WAY over priced. I ended up buying mine from Chris at F1 motorsports they were the cheapest back then but I beleave Chris is no longer there and I have heard some horror stories about F1 now.

I would recommend Forged Performance they have great customer service and lots of Volks in stock.

Also I paid about $800 (not positive on the amount but it was high)at the boarder when mine came in it was a little unexpected. I guess 6.5% duty 5% GST, tire tax, brokerage it all adds up.

Thanks BoostedProbe, I've always like those but looking for something with a lip on it. I know what you mean on things adding up, I brought my Z up from Los Angeles last year, so I know all about the fees. I wish I didn't find this forum and get so stuck on Volks

I know a place in Vancouver can do SF Winning Gold (which is a special color for these rims) for much less than 1400 each.
PM me if you want the details..
For 1400 each i can get a set of HRE.
Even TE or RE or CE doesn't cost that much.

I happen to know a guy that is a fellow Nissan guy...and he happens to own his own machine shop. I will talk to him about removing 10mm from the wheel I would say it should be simple.
