That is crazy that the sheet metal from the door just peeled off like that. To be honest with you, I thought it was worse than that, although it is hard to tell the from the pictures. The really bad thing I see is that the door hinges are all bent up. That will be a pain to straighten out. Let me know if you need a hand with anything.
After I got off the phone with you, I told my wife about the unfortunet event. She thought we should send you flowers...., and take your "turbo" sticker. I smacked her, because I know that is what you would do as well.
On a side note, may be time for some CF doors?

At the bottom of the door you can actually see inside the car.
The pics don't show the damage to the rear quarter either.
Carbon Fiber Doors and Fenders are what I want now.
Looking in to how I can get the stuff I want. The whole car is going to have to be painted too.

Well I decided to take the car out to the event on Monday night despite the damage.
At the last event, on KDW tires I ran a 69.5 Second Lap Time, Enough for First place in Race Tire Class (Running non-race tires).
Then on Monday night, I went out for the first session, strapped on the Hoosier R6 tires and ran a best of 67.025 Lap. That was with some serious pressure in the tire. So I lowered the tire pressure for the next session. But I couldn't put together a decent lap, between traffic and me botching turn 1. Ran a best of 68.2xx in second session.
Then I lined up for the third session, and just happened to glance over at the voltmeter. Umm, 11 Volts isn't right. So I waved everyone by and drove to the pits. Alternator wasn't charging. My night was done, so I got to sit back and watch people.
At first I thought I was safe, because the only one close to my times was my buddy Trent, and I don't mind losing to a friend. He drives a FC Rx7 with a GT35R and Full Yokohama race slicks. I watched his runs and he was looking quick. After his sesion, his times were posted, and he had managed a 68.03. I was still in the lead. Then on his next session, he looked really clean and quick and didn't hit much traffic to slow him down.
This was the last session of the night and if he managed to ring me in there was nothing I could do about it. I waited for the times to be posted. Trent comes over and says that last session felt really good. The time sheet arrives, He managed to pull in a 67.7xx.
So I managed to stay in front and take my second 1st place finish of the season. However trent is still ahead in points because I missed one event while away on Holidays.
It's going to be a great season if I can get everything fixed quickly.

That sucks about the alternator. This is the "new" alternatort that Karl got for you when you had the dash related charging issues, right? IIRC you kept the OEM alternator, so I am assuming that it will be going back in. If it is an alternator problem.
When is the next event?

July 4th is next event.
OEM Nissan Alternator is going back in.
Gotta figure out some things to cool this baby down. She runs far too hot after a few laps.

Got to go to a wedding on Saturday, and it's in Spirit River... I don't even know anybody there.

Are you still planning to be at the Indy event later in July, did you get the sponsorship you needed? We'll definitely be there, we have tickets for all three days, pit and paddock passes, the works. So if you're there, I'll definitely come down and find you to say hello.

I may be there, but I won't be racing. Too much to get done in too small of a time frame. Next year perhaps.
