I see more than 4 sets of gold Volks in this one thread.
Yes I am jealous. I like Volk's. I never said they were bad, I just think they'd be a strange choice for wheels of the year for a particular person. I think someone who has invested in importing, having made, or picked something a little uncommon and had a great outcome would be a better recipient.
I am qualified to make these assumptions since this is a vote thread, and I believe I only stated facts. Many people have them, as evidenced by this thread itself. What are we supposed to do, proclaim the winner of the person with best wheels 2004 all 1,000 people with the exact same wheel?
If you look a the thread's start, I believe the author was going for a particular person's wheels, not just a style.
For the record I have American Racing steel wheels, painted white, stolen from an El Camino. Maybe I need to steal your grandma's Volks!

But I think you have a legitimate point. For the wheel of the year (or whatever) I think exclusivity somehow counts. And Volks don't fall into that category (relatively) due to their huge popularity.
One of the reason "Everyone and their granma" have Volks is because they are that "good". They offer huge lines of wheels giving so many choices, and their design and quality appeals more people than any other brands. (At least for Z crowd lol I'm one of them.)

Galardo = no
Gallardo = yes!
and FYI - it has a 493hp V10 (it's kinda sad that everyone here knows the Z/G inside and out, but doesn't know **** about the other cars on the road - ever heard of "Road and Track"?)

does weight come into play when voting for a rim? Lots of you have very beautiful, VERY HEAVY wheels that ROB you of power...
If that is the case my vote goes to: NismoGuy2003 with his CPF Tunes. here is a link to his car

Since you feel that best wheels of the year should be someone who has the only set apart from anyone else....
Sounds like you would make for a great candidate, someone who stole their wheels off an El Camino. Talk about being original.
Maybe you should worry about getting a life first before you steal anything else.
