Pro's and Con's on using 245/40 front and 275/35 rears?
Currently running 245/40/18 and 274/40/18 Pirelli's
Can't find R compound that has the same stagger.
Input appreciated on the 275/35 rear.

well, the 35 series will be 1.1" smaller in diameter. a 1.1" difference in diameter sounds small, but i saw someone with that set up and the tire fender gap looked kind of large imho. it will also cause the speedometer to run 4.1% too fast.
other than that, i dont think there is really any harm in running a smaller series tire. there are people on this forum running 275 35 18 rears without any complaints.

ragtopz basically summed it up... but should probably add that if you have VDC, it will trigger much sooner as well
(which for some, is not a problem since they drive with it OFF all the time anyway)

Why not go with 245/40 Front and 265/40 Rear? I am running this combination on 18 X 9.0 rims. Tire Rack was found a combination that fit and met stagger. Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 works.

The car has been lowered so the gap should not be too bad.
Thought about the 265's. Wondering if 285's would be too wide for the fender.
Always track with VDC off so that is not a concern and the difference in speedometer should not be a problem.
I run 275/35 RA1s on my rear track wheels. Speedometer is a bit off, but not as substantial as I had expected. Other than that, there isn't anything out of the ordinary to be expected...
