Help a newbie with tire roar.......
Hi guys:
I'm sure this has been discussed a LOT here, but I just bought my 2003 Z and just found out about this website. I have 18,400 miles on the car with the original tires. I have a lot of tire roar at 30mph or under. I took the car into the Nissan dealer for an oil change and the guy said I would need new front tires probably next spring.
What should I do? Does Nissan have to pay for ANYTHING for this f**k up, or are we, the consumers responsible for footing the bill? Do they at least own up to the problem enough to pay for an alignment? Does an alignment even help?
Thanks for helping a newbie! ;o)

Oh sure Tut, you go easy on him even though the answer to this question is MUCH more easy to locate on this forum than that stupid "dummy bolt" on the rotor.
I see how it is!

TJ, welcome to our world. You'll love this site! As for the issue with the "tire roar", that is a losing battle we have been fighting for well over a year now. I guess you just joined our little army.
Enjoy the car and don't let the tire noise thing bother you, at least you are not the only one that is dealing with it.
As for getting it "corrected" that is hit or miss. It works for some but not others.
Good luck!
