Question Ok tire experts... Here we go again 9.5 and 10.5 ??

I am sure this has been covered millions of times, I did do a search but wasn't really finding the answers I wanted. So here is my question.

I am getting 9.5 in the front and 10.5 Rear with a +28 offset in the front and +23 Offset in the rear

My question is what would be the correct tire size to run?
Im hearing a mixed of answers and also is their going to be rubbing involved. I would like to hear from those who are running this type of setups and your personal experience with them. I would like to get 255x35 in the front and 285x35 in the rear. Or would I have to sacrifice the tallness of my tire size for width do it wont rub? I don't want it to rub but I don't know if I like the "streched" look... Pictures would be awesome!

Thanks in Advance

Here's what I was running when I had 20s:

Front Tires: Pirelli P-Zero Rosso 255/35/ZR 20
Front Wheels: Maido III GR5 9" 3 piece rim. (.26 offset)
Rear Tires: Pirelli P-Zero Rosso 285/30/ZR 20
Rear Wheels: Maido III GR5 10.5" 3 piece rim. (.29 offset)

Car was also lowered with Eibach Pro Springs and had very little rubbing (only extreme situations).

Welp, I usually check TireRack as they're on the ball most of the time.

For 18x9 / 10.5 on the track Z (2k4/Brembos) ..

18x9 +31 245/45-17 (they should mean 18/typo?)
18x10.5 +43 275/40-18

Those numbers are for the Comp-H's w/the optional 10.5 rears .. which I happen to have a set of

You'd be fine with what you suggest. I'm running 265 and 295 respectively on the same size wheels you plan to run with very similar offsets (25+ all the way around) No rubbing issues and I'm dropped.

COOL!!! Thanks guys, I did A LOT OF REASEARCH and I have narrowed it down to this...

It seems the 9.5 might be a little to much for the front, I have even heard of rubbing issues when you turn? So Im going to stick with 8.5 in the front and 10.5 in the rear. Also Yokohama only makes a 245x35 tire so that kinda limits me too... As for the rear I will go with a 295x35 because it seems a lot of people have ran this setup and don't have issues.

Thanks again guys! Also anybody else recommends a good tire setup.. Its a ***** to find tires nowadays, i def still considering the 9.5 in the front... AHHH DECISIONS?

Wicked - I'm on the same boat as you because I want to buy the following wheels:

-> 19x9.5 - 19x10.5 - Axis Hiros

but does your Z have TCS or VDC because with the 255x35 - 285x35 your stagger = +0.83 (which is incorrect according to Nissan)

With a 265/35 - 295/35 setup I have had no SLIP lights or other issues....other than I had to add some hp as these wide tires slow you down.

On the same boat as you wicked.

Wonder who has had any rubbing issues with the 9.5 in front that would be kind enough to chime in?

Does Toyo T-1s make any rubbers between 275-35 and 295-35?

Good thread.

So the final decision is i can run a 19x10.5 in the rear and a 19x9 in the front with no rubbering issues and no fender rolling?

You can run 19x9.5 in the front with no problem. I've put 275/30-19 for the front and 295/30-19 for the rear with absolutely no problem whatsoever. Car is about 1.3" lowered and has TCS.

dont get your hopes up, it will be tough but its like nailing a perfect wheel with the right offset followed by the correct set of tires. you also have to have the right drop as well.
