I'm wanting to go 19 by 10.5 for the rear and 19 by 9.5 for the front but i can't figure out what offset i can go w/o rolling the fender or will i have to bump down the width to 10 for the rear and 9 for the front to get an offset with an aggressive looking lip? TIA for the help!

 

10.5 will be awsome it also depends on how much you plan on dropping the car and what tires you will run

 

Imma put coilovers on it off course to make the stance aggressive looking too

i have done a lil research for you bro. Running a 10" rim in the rear with a +19 offset will get you a nice looking lip in the rear with the racing harts that you want, but i highly doubt that you will be able to "tuck" your wheels when you drop it with those coilovers.

my adivce, is to call up a good wheel dealer and tell them what you are wanting to do and what look you are going for and they will give you some info on which would be best for your application

 

You can go 19x10.5 with offset 22 and 275/35 without fender modification. You'll have to roll the fender if you decide to go with 285/35 unless you go with less aggressive offset.

 

seems about right but how low can he go without rubbing? 2" at most?

I own a silver G35-6MT. I will be taking delivery of 19 inch Volk LE37T silver wheels 9.5 front and 10.5 rear with 255x35 front and 285x35 rear tires mounted. They were shipped today from Florida (to cali). I will post when they are installed and let people know about fitment issues if any. I will be eventually be lowering the car .5 to .7 at the most. Hopefully if I need to trim the rear inside fender lips, it will be only slightly.

 

excellent choice bro, couple of questions though, im a freqeunt poster over on E46Fanatics.com and they said that they were discontinuing the 10.5 sizes in the LE37T's, is this true cause i heard alot of people saying that the only sizes they will now offer are the 10in. wide, can you confirm???

also, are you sure you will rub with that drop, cause that seems too subtle to rub but then again, you have 285's

I found out the hard way I had to roll or cut... The metal was really thick, and it would have been too risky to roll, Out came the air saw and buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.... At the time I was not a happy camper... It actually came out really well I painted the inside edge. After looking at the bits that were cut off, it seems our panels are aluminum (good). The integrity of the overal fenders have not been compromised... A freind of mine ordered new wheels, and had to have it done as well... If you find a professional I would recomend cutting in order to keep a very aggresive yet even offset... I got my Volks from 350zonlinestore.com Bryan hooked me up! They sell tones of rims for the Z... I'm not sure if the offset #'s are correct... It's been a while, if you want I can check, or get a hold of Bryan and he will take care of you...

 

How much did it cost to have your fenders cut?

 

100.00... Any good body shop should be able to do it... Make sure they tape just in case the saw slips... You can imagine, The saw they used looked like a small jig saw, so it was easy to control. But it was air powered... I can understand anyones hesitant to do so... But I'm really happy out the out come. In the end it's obout aggressive offsets, and fat dish (lip)...

Hopefully I won't have to "trim" the rear inner fender lips, but I am prepared to be so just in case. I talked to Shawn at SPR racing, he has the same wheels with 245x35 front and 275x30 rears He said he went to lunch with (2) 200 lb guys in the back of his G and it did not rub at all. He has IBOCH springs (1 inch lowered). You can look at photos of the way his tires/rims fit at the SPR racing site. The link is in the G35 forum, look for 585RWHP, It's on page 1 or 2 of the post lists. He says "NO PROBLEM".

Dude my silver 10.5s are on the way. I hear gunmetal is more common. Look at the last Z (blue) in the gallery (pg 2), silver LE37Ts, very nice. I think they will look like the "stock" wheels my silver G should have come with.

You are refering to a G I am refering to a Z..... Slightly different wheel well....

 

Yes, that is why I specifically said it was a G. I think the G might have "bigger" wheel wells.

 

I have 4 freinds with G's and the are bigger.... no doubt, I think the guy who started the thread has a Z... I seen people with 10.5 on a Z and no cutting... It's about the offset... It's best to talk to someone that actually sells a lot of rims for Z's and G's...
