Default Any side effects to changing wheels/tires?

Does the car lose the ability to check/monitor tire pressure if you switch to a different type wheel?

not if you get system compatible tire pressure monitors mounted in your aftermarket wheels.

I priced the tire pressure monitors...they are $215 each. Made me rethink my choice to change wheels.
