Default lightest wheels

I did a couple searches and came up with mixed responses. So maybe we could make something a little more official....What are the lightest wheels for the Z?

Magnesium TE37 (a class of its own)

Volk CE28Ns
Nismo LMGT4s

yes, I found that as well...but it doesn't list the lightest wheels available for 18s and 19s...and butt ugly rims don't count...

I was under the impression that nismos were some of the lightest around!

Guess I was right!

Are the Volks lighter though?

This particular site has not been updated since 02. It's quickly becoming obsolete as many new wheels and sizes are not there.

Anyone know of another newer site?

Depends. Some SSR's are lighter than Volks. Some Volk's are heavy for forged wheels. (GT line)

I've actually gotten into an argument about this .. cut/paste my post from another forum.

(SSR Comps are lighter than Volks on avg is what I'm trying to prove)

> SSR Type-C (called Competitions in the US) SSF 17x7.5 13.0
> Volk CE28N Forged 17x7.5 13.8
> Volk Gram Lights Cast 17x7.5 17.0
> Volk SE37K Forged 17x7.5 14.3
> Volk TE37 Forged 17x7.5 15.0

> SSR Type-C (called Competitions in the US) SSF 17x9 15.6
> Volk CE28N Forged 17x9 14.8

Give or take one is lighter than the other in different sizing. It's about the same b/t the CE28N & SSR Comp. This doesn't make the SSR Comp heavy by any stretch of the imagination. Plus, the TE37 is heavier by 2 lbs for the same size. The data speaks for itself; SSR Comps are lighter on avg.

Ok, Magnesium TE37 $4800/set; light weight should save on shipping, are finishes other than dark blue avalable?
