Default Appearance Questions (offsets)

I will ask this in a new thread, since I didn't get any feedback before. I am considering 9.5 all around. I have been told by a few people here that it will look "funny" and the rears won't look right.

My question: If the stock rims are the same size (8.0) and same offset (30) front and rear, and don't look funny...then why would aftermarkets of the same size and offset look funny? Maybe I'm stupid, but I just don't understand that. It's keeping me from ordering my wheels. Can someone explain this a little for me so I can make a decision and buy some wheels!

The stock rims are not 8.0 all around. Here you go:

350Z Wheels
Standard 17":
Alum Alloy
F-17x7.5
23.259lbs
R-17x8
24.140lbs
Touring 18":
Alum Alloy
F-18x8
R-18x8
26.565 lbs
Track 18":
Super-light Alum Alloy
F-18x8
18.188lbs
R-18x8.5
18.629lbs

That being said. Get whatever you want. Most of us just prefer larger lips in the rear than in the front, but like you say with the stock wheels you really can't tell easily that there is a width difference from front to back.

Sorry, I should have stated Performance model. But yeah, since the 18's are both 8, and they don't look funny, I don't see how 9.5 on both would look funny either.

thanks for your opinion

Since we are on the offset question. Does anybody know what offset will give you the largest lip for the rear of a 350z, when using 10" width wheel?
