If money wasn't an option, those would be the exact wheels that I'd switch to. Those are just too perfect (looking) on this car. It's hard for me to leave a vehicle completely stock, but there is so much about this car (out of the box) that I already like.

thats why I want the rears, which are 8.5" on all four corners so you can run 255 40 all the way around!
If you go with 255 40 18, I believe the diameter would be about
-2.4% smaller.

Jason from nissan performance has posted that having the same size wheels and tires didn't affect tc, vdc, etc.

It'd only be smaller in the back. That size is almost identical to the stock front diameter.

I've run 245/40/18 rubber all round all last year (summer and winter) including over 100 Solo2 runs. No VDC issues.

I would love to put 8.5" all round. I've got a set of Track rims and will be running the wider (8.5") up front for better tire sidewall strength.

BTW, the 8.5" rear track rims are 33 offset to compensate for the extra .5" width.

I'm assuming you turned off VDC, though, right? I'm guessing that if a person is concerned about it being an issue, they could just turn it off and be done with it. I've heard rumors that it still doesn't fully turn off, but I dunno. With VDC off I've done big powerslides and drifts, burnouts, you name it. I don't believe I've ever felt it kick in in any way while it was off. (Unless it's very, very subtle.)

VDC is always turned off for Solo 2 but I almost always keep it on while driving on the street mainly for safety & relaxation purposes. I rarely drive the car hard enough on the street to justify turning it off. When it's disabled I've never had a partial VDC infringement while on the track, but I have had ABS issues.

I drive my car year round. Right now, it's -25 outside and I'm running 215/65/16 Blizzack's on all 4. The slip light comes on at least once every few minutes. Skinny tires and snow/cold asphalt make it slippery. I could drive it without VDC coming on, but honestly the system works so well that I'm able to lay into it with huge confidence.

From what I remember, there should be a stamp indicating the size and offset inside the wheel where it meets the hub .

I'll check my set tonight for exact location.

I think its a great idea!! Being able to rotate tires and getting rid of understeer would be worth it. How often do you have VDC on anyway.

it would be nice if a wheel company duplicated a 18x10.5 (w/fatter lip) version of the Track Rim...I'd buy a Pair =)
