Thumbs up Lowered my car today

I got the Eibach Pro-kit. Sorry, no pix yet, but I'm sure you all know what it looks like by now.

The shop charged me $140 for labor, a little more than I thought I'd have to pay, but I'm very happy with the springs, so I guess it was worth it. It looks great and handles way better. Got rid of the bounce, and still rides nice. The springs feel soft driving down a smooth road, but they stiffen up pretty good in the corners. I'd reccomend the Eibachs to anyone looking to lower their Z about an inch.

Next on my list of mods is exhaust, either the Injen straight tip, or the HKS one with the titanium tips. After that I'm doing a NISMO LSD, then lightweight flywheel.

Yea for now. Not sure how long they will last, but I'll throw some KONI's in later if/when they get too mushy

Your better off going with coilovers. The Tein is looking really good. I have a manual adjustable coilover and let me tell you, if you can adjust from in the car its much more practical. Good luck.

I was all tein Flex happy until I found out it's like $1200 to get the flex unit installed cause they have to balance each of the 4 motors just perfectly and it takes forever and a lot of trial and error and measuring etc..

That's what I would have liked to have done, but for right now, i'd rather put that money towards an exhaust or something. Maybe down the road i'll get that. My friend has that setup on his eclipse, and it's pretty kickass

Coilovers are great but you can't compare the price. Tein Basics with install will run over a grand. Tein Flex with install, almost 2 grand. HKS and others can run 3k or more. Eibach is a good buy for 350.00 installed.

I'd really like to see a picture of your car with the Eibachs on it.

I wanted the Koni Yellows with the Eibach Pro Kit but performance shop told me to go with Tein Basic's. My 03 suspension is shot. Have you priced the Koni Yellows?

Never heard of that story and there are plenty of Tein FLEX owners in this forum that didn't have to deal with that. (I don't have it, got KW Variant 3) Maybe someone with Tein FLEX can chime in?

I think you are talking about getting the Tein Flex and EDFC installed. I hadn't heard that it takes forever to get the EDFC working properly, but you do need to run wires from all 4 corners of the car to the box, so that would cost more. If you don't want to deal with that then don't get the EDFC. I think it is for lazy people anyways. Just get the Tein Flex and when you take it to the track or feel like spirited driving adjust them yourself. The fronts are easy to adjust, but the rears will take some work.
