A 285 width is going to be the widest you'll want to go with in the rear of a Z.

If you rolled the fender and had the right offset on the wheel I'm possitive you could get it to fit. The question is why would you want to?

why? sorry but i just don't accept that answer

many are running 295's with 18's

some are talking about doing even 305's on 18's

the 315/35/17 has a smaller diameter than my stock 245/45/18 tires on my track model

I don't mind rolling/cutting fenders

if I had 700hp at the crank, i'd want wide tires

does anyone know what type of offset would be needed? high? low?

Well, now you're talking. I usually recommend the biggest without or with slight modification.

You can fit a 315 on a 10.5 wheel with a 30mm offset but you will be "adjusting" the car.

I dont know the correct offsets you need, but I remember there is a guy on the board with a white Z, with 315's out back and 275's in front.....do a search for widest tire possible you should be able to find his posts.

it's not a 17" thread, but you may find some answers to your questions...

IMO, your going to have to go with a +35 offset to get it to fit at stock height. If your car is lowered around +30. But keep in mind, the tire sidewall will stick out beyond the fender no matter what you do. The Z's wheel well is only so deep or wide.

cool, found the thread here https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....hreadid=103830

do you have any closeup shots of your rear tires that would show how the tire sits in the wheel well and also where you can see how wide the tire is in relation to the rest of the car?

Also what offset did you use on the rear?
