for people with different tires than stock

have you noticed the same type of tire wear by using different tires than stock? i have the feather issue as many others do as well and i've had the tires replaced by the dealer once already with the factory oe tire. i now have 12,000 miles on my car and the fronts are feathering again and the rears are damn near bald and don't even drive around spinning tires everywhere. any input on some different tire choices would be greatly appreiated.
there are many threads in here with positive experiences on tires with connected tread blocks.
i got the below picture from zcar.com, thread done by 350ZNewbie.
it shows how the connected tread block looks like.
i don't think changing the tires will stop the reathering completely, but it can reduce it.

I've got about 13k on a set of Dunlop SP9000s with only very *slight* tire roar and no visible feathering. Tires seem to be wearing great. The SP9000s have the connected tread blocks as mentioned in the post above.
Oh yeah, i didn't have the Nissan dealership do the alignment. However, the place that did used Nissan specs on their machine.
