Default Volk question....please read!!!

I had a set of Volk gtc's on my Evo and the lugs fit so snug and i ran into issues of scratching the thread whole on the rim where the lugs go....and yes i was careful

Question is, have you guys had any issues of the lugs scratching your Volks, since it is a tight fit on some of their wheels???

I hope you are using the thinner 19mm lugs and not the stock lugs. I have no issues with scratching my rims putting the lugs on because they came with thin 19mm lugs, and I recently upgraded to Volk lightweight lugs which are also thin. I would recommend you look into a set.

Yeah i was deff not using the stock lugs. With the GTC's...there is only one kind of lugs that will fit those wheels! Rays dura lugs are not an option on those specific wheels.

Its all good...i no longer have the wheels or that car for that matter. Just seeing if people have experienced any probs with the Volks on their Z's. I wanted to see if anybody was having issues before i ordered my wheels.

Well I am using Rays "dura lugs" on my GT-7s which I believe have the same exact center section as the GT-Cs and they work great along with the set of lugs that was shipped to me with the Volks.

Yeah, GTC's and GT7's dont have the same face. Ive seen the Rays lugs on Gt7's before....NEVER the GTC'S. Plus i talked with Eddie Lee from Mackin and thats what i was told as well. Ahh well.....

Yeah after reading apparantly the GT-Cs do only accept very thin lugs. I would say that they are the exception as I haven't heard of any stories of people having problems putting lugs on Volks. It looks like you can get GT-C specific lugs from Rays according to their website.
